Choice of Production

 Greetings, my fellow Blogger Readers! Welcome to my 12th final film project blogger entry. 

Today I will discuss my production plan for my film and my choice to either produce with a large or small studio company. 

Ideally, I plan to produce my final project's short film with a large production company. Popular film production companies such as Ghost House Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Blumhouse Productions, Lionsgate Films, Dimension Films, AS4, Hammer Film Productions, Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, and Universal Pictures have participated in the production of horror films. 

Most of these companies have produced iconic horror movies that set the bar for the horror genre in general. All of these companies have made movies in my field of the genre. Most have explicitly produced horror movies, some have directed comedy movies, and some have produced the combination of both genres and made hit success. 

If they are interested in my short film's pitch, I will work with large and successful companies such as A24, Blumhouse Productions, Dimension Films, and Ghost House Pictures. 

Each of these four companies has produced movies that my inspiration for the short film opening. 

A24 produced the movie 'Midsommar,' an inspiration to the horror and realism portion of the film's target. Midsommar includes a mind twisted, psychologically sickening, brutal, yet truthful and relatable storyline. I want my final project's short film's horrific events to have the same psychological elements.

Blumhouse production produces various movies that lead to the inspiration of my short film's plot/storyline. Movies such as US, Freaky, The Purge, Unfriended, MA, Split, Happy Death Day, and Truth or Dare are considerably produced films and inspirations for my short film. 

All the elements varying from psychological horror, real-life events, and comedy contribute to my choice of the production companies I wish to work with for this short film.
