Brand/Mission Statement
Hello blogger readers! Welcome to my 9th blogger post!
Today I will discuss my final project short film opening's brand and or mission statement, what I am striving towards, and what I aim to achieve from my two-minute opening.
To summarize, my short film opening is about four primary characters facing an unavoidable issue in their daily lives, and they have to stand up and face their problems. The film opening genre is horror and a comedy (considered as a spoof film).
My brand/mission statement for this short film opening would be to get my final project's short film to defeat the inevitable and look at the brighter side of darkened circumstances.
The year 2020 was a very deleterious and or severe year to the majority. Most of humanity is lucky to have made it through that traumatizing, unfortunate, vital, and intense year. Therefore, that is the result of my group and combining the comedy genre to lighten the mood and view these events' brighter side. After all, sometimes it is best to look back and laugh at certain situations to release tension, regret, and negativity. All characters will have their unavoidable problems that create suspense, the feeling of unease, and falls under the horror genre, but there will be twists of comedy to lighten up the audience's mood.
Each of the film's realistic and suspenseful events is communicated to them. Those who defeated and experienced the year 2020 has almost had a rough, unexpected, and assumed never-ending battle. My mission statement communicates that it's good to laugh and search for brighter days ahead. With this final project, I want the audience to retrieve/inhale their harsh memories of 2020 and exhale them with laughter and relief. I want the public to understand that it is okay to laugh during tough times.
