Film’s Technology
Hey, all blogger blog entry readers! Welcome to the 22nd blog entry for my final project's film opening! Today I will discuss the required technology for filming the final project's two-minute film opening.
It is evident that for a movie/TV show to be filmed, the producers must utilize some equipment and or technology. Whether it is a high or low budget film, recording with a technology piece is a must. There aren't any specifications of what piece of equipment to use to record the movie/TV show. Most films are recorded with a professional video recording camera to receive and provide that high quality and clear view of whatever is shown. However, with technology advancing by the minute, phones are capable of recording films as well.
Nowadays, newer phones have fantastic camera quality and resolution. It's as if the phone production companies focus more on the camera than the actual phone. Therefore, I have decided to use two pieces of equipment to record the two-minute film opening.
Last Christmas, I was lucky enough to receive a Kodak photographer's camera. Ever since that day, I haven't been able to put that camera down. I try to take it everywhere I go and capture every beautiful view and moment. I will be using the Kodak camera to record, but I will also use my phone to record some film aspects. A tripod will also be excellent for control, causing the video to be stable.
My reasoning for this decision to record with two different technology pieces is that my Kodak camera doesn't have the best audio control. It can pick up nearly every sound, but it sounds disoriented, and the audience can identify not all sounds. I can not only record with my iPhone, but I can use a separate audio system for clarity. Both primary pieces of equipment will come in handy for different scenes and aspects of the film.
