Editing Process to Create a Coherent Meaning.

Hi there, blogger entry readers! Welcome to my 36th blogger entry post.

Today I will discuss how my group and I applied the editing process to create a coherent meaning to the film opening.

The group is in the final days of filming and editing our opening. We y have one week left before our official due date. We are not finished recording, but we do have some scenes prepared and edited. Leea, Jadha, and I plan to all meet up on Saturday and complete our film opening. I am nervous because I don't know how our film will turn out.

Since there are only three people in the film opening, my group member Franco is in the custody of the majority of the film's editing. So far, we have asked him to cut some of Leea's dialogue, add our audio file, apply some color correction, and insert a news report introduction to the film's first scene.

However, since we changed our film's genre, we are editing new special effects that replace comedy and emphasizes horror. Our teacher permitted the genre change at such a late time as long as we reflect on our decision in our last few blog entries and final critical reflection.

For instance, in Leea's first scene, we dimmed the contrast and united more of a vignette effect in the footage. Now that the editing application responds to the convention of horror (low-key lighting). Additionally, we plan to add low-toned music to the scene to compose the atmosphere of suspense and mystery.

In the beginning, Leea's footage was bright and seemed like a video you recorded on your smartphone, but after the applied editing, Leea's scene looks textured, darkened, and unsettling overall.

Hopefully, the audience understands the editing process to emphasize the horror genre of the film.
