Transitions, Effects, and Titles

Aloha blogger entry readers! Welcome to the 38th blogger entry post for my final project film opening. Today I will discuss the sets of transitions, effects, and titles employed in the film opening.

The Beware of the 20 script incorporated all the transitions within the film opening. There is an entirety of four editing transitions in the film. Once the scene finishes, there is a transition to the next scene. Once Leea and me news report scene finishes, there is a fade-out transition to Jadha. Jadha's finishing transition is a jump cut to the next scene. The next scene originally included Gianfranco's news report on the black lives matter protest, but Jadha is replacing Gianfranco's character, and the setting location changed. After this scene, there is a dissolve to the debate scene. However, Leea and I are rewriting the script and removing the debate. The last transition of the opening is a fade-out.

This overall film opening will include innumerable effects to emphasize the conventions of horror. For instance, there is a consideration of employing glitching outputs to Leea's first news report scene. The glitches throughout her news report inform the audience there is an atmosphere of uncertainty, irregularity, and unease.

I utilized the program After Effects from Adobe to create an animated title sequence. I have yet to complete the title sequence in its entirety, but I am nearly complete.  There is a black and white glitched background with a red italicized font. This font is commonly overused in horror films and has a suspenseful texture to it. Additionally, I attached high-pitched stringed music that will attract the audience into the atmosphere of unease and tension. There will be a violin playing throughout the ten-second title sequence. Per contra, the violin isn't playing a peaceful and angelic composition.  It will be playing high-pitched, nerve-wracking, and unsettling violin music throughout the film opening's title sequence.
